The European wooden components market for furniture industries
The report is about 150 pages. It has been edited in December 2008.
The cost is euro 2.900,00 for PDF copies.
For paper copies the cost is 100 euro more, plus mailing costs.

The wood furniture industry in Europe is largely outsourcing a part of the wood products they need since several years.
Almost all industries buy parts produced by other industries, such as drawers, cabinet doors, worktops, and many other items.
Nobody, as far as we know,  has ever tried to analyse in a full and rational way this sector.

Csil, the leader in the market analysis of the furniture sector, has made a new study in cooperation with Paolo Gardino Consulting, the well known expert of the wood industry sector.  The synergies of this alliance have allowed to develop a completely new report, using the know-how of the furniture sector and of its dynamics (Csil), and of the wood and wood panels sectors and of their relationship with the furniture industry (Gardino).

This report is important, since it fills a gap of information in the furniture sector and in the wood sector.

For the first time, after several trials made by both companies, which analysed parts of the complex picture, they present together a complete description of the world of wood components for the furniture industries.

The report aims to reply to very important questions such as:
ο    Extent of vertical integration of furniture industries,
ο    Main used products
ο    Trends in the substitution process
ο    Reasons for choosing different items
ο    Main used overlays and trends
ο    Channels of distribution of wood components: custom produced wood components, standard    wood components, role of the DIY and retail sales
ο    Sectors of the wood furniture industries using more extensively wood components (kitchen, home furniture, office, etc.)
ο    Wood components more largely used (cabinet doors, drawers, work-tops, etc.)
The report makes forecasts about the future developments of all these issues. It also lists some of the main European furniture wood component producers.
It is therefore a practical tool for furniture industries, which need to analyse if their position in this delicate sector is more or less in line with their competitors in the main countries.
It is a tool for wood component producers, telling them the main trends in Europe of the sector where they are working
It is a tool for wood product producers and sellers, indicating the trends of the main wood products and overlays, the main countries of destination and the main buyers.
It is a tool for associations and analysts of the furniture industry sector, analysing the links between furniture producers and their suppliers and their future evolution.
