The company works mainly in Europe,
North Africa and the Middle East, although it also covers bigger global
projects.
The company, started in 1990 and has a
very large knowledge of all the woodworking sectors of the European
industry: sawmilling, wood panels, building elements, furniture and
flooring industries, etc. It has a huge Data Bank containing statistics,
import-export and production figures of most wood-using sectors in
Europe.
For bigger projects covering the USA,
Canada and Asia, Gardino Consulting has selected a team of specialised
consultants with a great knowledge also of these areas, therefore
assuring a world coverage, with a unique project responsibility.
Gardino Consulting also uses a team of
specialists in specific fields: certification, norms, technical aspects,
etc.
The team of Gardino Consulting speak
fluently Italian, English, French, Spanish, German and of other
Mediterranean languages including Portuguese, Greek, and Arabic and
other languages if necessary.
Gardino Consulting is a small company,
but it has probably the strongest professional consulting team operating
in the wood sector in Southern Europe, thanks to the trust of its
clients.
Dott. Paolo Gardino, the company owner, has been until 1990 General Manager or Chairman of several companies involved in the production, import and distribution of wood products, in the Do-it-yourself, in Europe and in tropical countries.
Dott. Gardino is Honorary President of ATIBT (Association Téchnique Internationale des Bois Tropicaux), the only worldwide association, created by FAO and OECD to handle technical and trade problems concerning tropical forests. The association is based in Paris and it has members in more than 30 countries.
He has been a member of the Italian delegation to the European Softwood Conference for 10 years. Member of the press committee of the Conference for 4 years.
He has been member of the Italian-Scandinavian Committee since it was created.
Dott. Gardino has been a lecturer at conferences or teacher at seminars in many countries: USA, UK, Chile, Latvia, Estonia, France, Gabon, Brazil, Guyana, New Zealand, etc.
The team also includes:
| Paavo Kivinen. He is resident in Finland. Former production and sawmill manager of one of the largest Finnish sawmills, field forest manager of another group and in the last years managing director of a company exporting to all the European and Middle East countries. He still is member of the board of the Nordic Timber Council, of the Promotion Campaign for wood use in the UK, he is a Finnish Forest Industries official arbitrator. He speaks fluently Finnish, Swedish, German, English, French. |

Luciano Ceruti. He has been for
many years sales manager and purchasing manager of one of the largest
Italian wood importers. Director of important branch units of the
company. In the last years he lived in Austria and he was managing
director for one of the largest Austrian sawmills.
